Speaker:  Jason Russell of Firestorm Security Solutions

Organizations from all sectors should be preparing themselves to deal with an active violence situation. This requires a layered approach that includes prevention strategies, response preparation and post incident recovery plans. Jason Russell the Chief Security Officer from Firestorm Solutions will describe the process an organization should consider to prepare for these events.

Jason Russell is Chief Security Officer and EVP of Firestorm Security Solutions. In this role, Jason is responsible for leading a team of former Secret Service agents in delivering White House-level threat assessment and protection to schools and businesses on behalf of Firestorm.  Jason is the former founder, President and CEO of Secure Education Consultants, LLC (SEC). SEC is now a part of Firestorm, a Novume™ Solutions (Nasdaq: NVMM) company.

Jason also served with the United States Secret Service as a Special Agent. During his tenure, Jason was involved in protective and investigative assignments as well as protecting the President and Vice President along with all living former Presidents. In addition to protection assignments, Jason served as the Secret Service Lead Instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy, a Physical Fitness Coordinator, and on the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Jason began his law enforcement career with the Lansing Police Department (LPD). While with the LPD, Jason was recognized with a lifesaving award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Jason has worked on the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and various multi-jurisdictional enforcement initiatives.  Jason has taught criminal investigation and security courses as an adjunct professor.
