    Jason Russell is the founder of Secure Environment and Secure Education Consultants, LLC (SEC) and is its President and Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for overseeing all company operations, product development, and quality assurance.

    Prior to SEC, Jason served with the United States Secret Service as a Special Agent. During his tenure, Jason was involved in protective and investigative assignments as well as protecting the current President and Vice President along with all living former Presidents. In addition to protection assignments, Jason served as the Secret Service Lead Instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy, a Physical Fitness Coordinator, an instructor in the Safe School Initiative, a study of school shootings and other school-based attacks conducted in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education, and served on the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

    Jason has extensive law enforcement experience with the Lansing Police Department (LPD).  While with the LPD, Jason was recognized with a lifesaving award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving. In 2010, Jason accepted a position with the Office of the Inspector General where he investigates governmental waste and fraud.

    A frequent guest speaker, Jason has been a featured presenter at numerous conferences and seminars nationwide, including most recently at the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Florida Association for the Education of Young Children on emergency preparedness. He has additionally taught criminal investigation and security courses as an adjunct professor.

    Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University and his Master’s Degree in   Criminal Justice and Security Management from Michigan State University.
