The Human Resource Association of Southeast Michigan (HRASM) invites you to join us for a discussion with Thomas Dixon, attorney with Eastman & Smith LTD, concerning legal issues currently affecting your business.
Thomas practices in the area of management labor and employment law. His practice covers counseling and advice on a wide range of employment subjects, including policy development, training, discrimination, union prevention, negotiation and administration of labor contracts, harassment, labor law guidance, as well as a variety of other areas.
The legislature, agencies and courts continue to challenge the ability of organizations to effectively and productively manage workforces without incurring liability and litigation fees. Our upcoming seminar will provide attendees with an update on recent developments. Our focus is providing guidance on "best practices" and offering strategies to avoid litigation.
Some topics to be discussed include:
NLRB – Recent change to the Board, the potential impact to your organization
FMLA, ADA & Pregnancy Discrimination – Practical steps for leave and accommodations
EEOC – Insight on the recruitment and hiring process related to protected classifications
Lunch will be served. The reservation deadline is February 1st. Please RSVP to Kristy.Smith@anddev.com, or call Kristy at 517-438-5368.
