As a manager, there will always be employees or clients who can be a challenge to deal with. You have a choice to either work with them or let them go. Terminating the employment of difficult employees may help you in the short term, but it also increases hiring costs…. and what if the employee is a high performer or high potential?

The Human Resource Association of Southeast Michigan is pleased to introduce to you Mike Kestly. Mr. Kestly is the Founder and President of Kestly Development, LLC. Kestly Development is a 15-year old OD/HR information, assessment and training company. They have helped organizations increase retention of key people, hire for reliability-integrity-work ethic, Job Match, succession planning, increase engagement, improve customer service, increase sales, and help managers develop their skills.

You will learn about different employee problems that require specialized management skills: Difficult Personalities, Bad Attitudes, Poor Performers, Communication Problems and Virtual Employees. The session will also include:

Step-by-step process to increase productivity of difficult (and all) employees

When re-deployment is the best option

When termination is the only option

Tips to keep you on the correct legal path

Will include an interactive table discussion / best practices
